Macromedia completes MX product family with Dreamweaver and Fireworks

Macromedia has completed its MX product family with the launch of new versions of Dreamweaver and Fireworks. The company also announced ColdFusion MX, a new version of the server scripting technology it acquired when it merged with Allaire last year. Nildram joins the jet set

Nildram, the UK's fastest ADSL broadband supplier, has launched two new high-speed services. dslXtra1000 and dslXtra2000 provide 1Mbit/sec and 2Mbit/sec downstream respectively, two and four times the speed of standard 512k ADSL services. Report urges BBC Online to stand aside for commercial competition

A report on the BBC Online services says that the corporation's web sites should be reined in. The Graf Report, published today, says that the websites should outsource up to 25 per cent of its content by the end of the 2006/7 financial year. The report also says that the Corporation should err on the side of caution when considering whether to launch an online service against a commercial competitor. ...more
