Mainstream notebook market refuses to take the Tablet PCs

Tablet PCs are failing to make a dent in the mainstream notebook market in Europe according to latest research by market analysts Canalys with traditional notebooks outselling tablets by 100 to 1. Hotspot operators strike international roaming deal

Five international wireless operators, including BT, have signed a series of roaming agreements to provide Wi-Fi access at 20,000 hotspots across eleven countries. The four other operators involved are StarHub (covering Singapore), T-Mobile (covering Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands, UK, US), Telstra (covering Australia) and Telecom Italia (covering Italy). Apple v Apple: Apple Computer defends its data transmission turf

Apple Computer counsel Anthony Grabiner argued yesterday that there is a clear distinction between the company's iTunes Music Store and the activities of a record label like Apple Corps. In his opening address to the high court, on day two of the hearing into Apple Corps' allegation that iTMS violates a previous trademark usage agreement between the two companies, Grabiner said that 'even a moron' could not mistake the difference between the two. He said that under the terms of the confidential 1991 agreement, Apple Computer was permitted to distribute digital entertainment content. ...more

The new tab was softly launched just a few days ago under cover of silence.
