IT Forum 2004: MOM 2005 aims for prevention rather than cure

As announced yesterday in Bill Gates' keynote, Microsoft has officially released its Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 server product, which provides IT administrators with a way of monitoring system events and managing performance. The idea is to better enable IT operations staff to stay aware of Windows Server-based system issues, with the bottom line being better levels of service availability.
