Nokia unveils new smartphone range

Nokia has unveiled a new range of mobile phones which major on the ability to capture and transmit pictures and video on the move. In addition, the new Nokia N93 (pictured, right), Nokia N73 (pictured, left) and Nokia N72 are the first Nokia N series devices to support direct connections to Yahoo!'s popular Flickr picture sharing service. HP saves $3bn a year early

Maximum hard disk speed found

Scientists have discovered the maximum speed that data can be written to a conventional hard disk. Drives store data as a sequence of magnetic polarities on their surface. The BBC reports that researcher at Stanford University in the US found that they could generate pulses too quick to register a change to the coating. ...more

JavaScript flaw returns to threaten Internet Explorer

Microsoft is warning customers that it knows of malicious software being used to exploit a security hole in Internet Explorer, which is as yet unpatched.
