IBM reaps reward of long term planning

Another IT big boy has posted its quarterly financial results, and they don't come much bigger than the folk at International Business Machines. Windows open for iPod

Apple has announced a Windows version of its award-winning iPod portable MP3 player. Until now Apple has only made the iPod available to mac users, though MediaFour has developed software capable of connecting the device to Windows PCs. However at yesterday's Macworld expo in New York, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that the company will be releasing a Windows iPod, using software from Musicmatch to connect the player to Windows in order to download music and playlists. ...more

Hewlett-Packard is to launch a new zt1000 Pavilion range aimed at consumers. While the US version has just hit the market, details of the UK release are scarce.
