Today's the day that Coding Technologies, subsidiary of Thomson Multimedia and the Fraunhofer Institute, launches the big brother to mp3 - mp3PRO. It claims to be able to compress audio more than twice as efficiently as the standard mp3 codec, using two channels. BT mobile phone subsidiary O2 has introduced a low cost service for businesses to enable them to send thousands of SMS messages with a single email. Business Text allows organisations to send text messages to between one and 100,000 mobile phone users on any network.
