PalmPalm launch Linux mobile phone

Following on from the Linux and Bluetooth watch, it seems to be Linux with everything, as the Korean company PalmPalm announces the world's first Linux mobile phone. The IMT-2000 smartphone has been developed with SK Telecom Ltd and Seoul National University. Microsoft claims Vista take-up doubles XP

Microsoft said on Monday that it has sold more than 20 million Windows Vista licenses in the first month since the operating system's debut of the consumer version on 30 January. The world's biggest software maker said the pace of Vista adoption is at more than twice the rate of its predecessor, Windows XP, which had sold 17 million licenses after its first two months of release. UPDATED: BT halves broadband connection cost

BT is cutting the connection charge for ADSL broadband from ?50 to ?25 between 10 January and the end of March. The company is also halving the cost of business connections, from ?260 to ?130.
