CD Wow faces 'millions' in damages after losing BPI court case

CD Wow could be forced to pay damages totalling several million pounds after losing a copyright case brought by the UK music industry's main trade body, the BPI. The High Court ruled that the e-retailer had infringed the copyright of BPI members by importing CDs into the UK from outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Apple trebles iPod sales in record quarter

Apple has reported yet another record quarter by selling more than 14m iPods, more than three times the number that it sold a year ago. Revenues for the three months to 31 December 2004 totalled $5,749mn an increase of 64 per cent on the same period last year and the first time the company has passed even $4bn for a quarter. RPC threat forces new Microsoft security bulletin

Microsoft has issued another security update for Windows users, Security Bulletin MS03-039 to be precise. Three new vulnerabilities have been identified, relating to the way Microsoft handles Remote Procedure Calls (RPC - an inter-process communication protocol, which has been the subject of another recent update).
