The bidding war for 3G licences continues - or does it? Not for the Singaporeans, it seems, as the top three bidders have decided not to bother with the auction and have carved up the airwaves up between them. The four third-generation licences were due to go under the hammer until one of the bidders pulled out, leaving the fourth licence without a bidder. Urban WiMax to raise ?35m to fund expansion of UK network

Money will be used to extend London-based WiMax wireless data network nationwide. Wireless broadband network operator Urban WiMax has announced plans for a fresh round of funding to raise ?35m to finance a national roll-out for its WiMax wireless broadband service. Freescale to debut two new PowerPC processors

Motorola's wholly-owned chip making subsidiary, Freescale, will introduce two major additions to its range of PowerPC processors at the forthcoming Multiprocessor Forum. Freescale first announced the e600 and e700 cores and platforms when it outlined its roadmap in April.
