Eclipse joins 1Mbit broadband rollout

Eclipse Internet has begun a public trial of ADSL Connect 1000 Lite, its first 1Mbit/sec broadband ADSL service. BT has confirmed broadband ready-for-service dates for another 43 exchanges, though potential users will have to wait until February or March to get connected. Griffin plugs in iTrip for 2G iPod nano

Griffin Technology has released a new version of its iTrip wireless transmitter for the latest version of the iPod nano. Compatible with the 2G version of the nano, released in a variety of colours in September, the iTrip transmits music from the compact portable music player to any FM receiver, typically a car stereo. One million iTunes for Windows

iTunes for Windows has been downloaded over a milion times since its launch on Thursday, Apple announced today. And in the same period over one million songs have been sold on the iTunes Music Store, double the rate of sales achieved when the service first launched at the end of April. Online advertising specialist Overture has added local sponsored search to its range of products. Searchers using parent company Yahoo! as well as MSN, Dogpile, Excite and other web portals in the US will receive local products listings.
