These days, gamers seem to be more obsessed with high-spec graphics cards, frame rates and photo-realistic graphics than anything else. Well this little known mod project turns the gamesworld upside down and transforms Quake into a hand drawn nightmare. CES: Craig Barrett's keynote upstaged by Aerosmith karaoke

It was Craig Barrett's turn to be upstaged by a celebrity at the CES show on Thursday, after special guest Aerosmith's Steven Tyler coerced the less-than-willing Intel chief executive into singing a few lines of the song 'Walk this way'. The legendary rocker was brought onto the stage during Barrett's keynote to talk about new software available on an Aerosmith multi-track DVD that allows users to raise and lower the volume of instruments, effects and vocals. Gates to crack open the Corona

The official public beta release of Windows Media 9, formerly code-named Corona, will be made by Bill Gates in Los Angeles on 4 September. It probably deserves the Corona moniker more, as it looks to be far more than a nudge along from Windows Media 8.
