Napster shifts UK sales and marketing to Frankfurt

Napster is moving large parts of its UK operation to Frankfurt in a bid to cut costs. Sales, marketing and management for the digital music service will be relocated to Germany, with UK general manager Leanne Sharman leaving the company. Wi-Fi to be secured by force of law

A county in the US state of New York is proposing to enact a groundbreaking law covering security on Wi-Fi hotspots. Andy Spano, county executive of Westchester, has submitted a bill that would require locations such as Internet caf?s with public access points and businesses with wireless networks to ensure that their networks are secure. BT cracks down on broadband data gluttons

BT is cracking down on data gluttons, notifying around 3,000 of its broadband users that they will either have to cut down or pay up for excessive use of its broadband connections. Microsoft's Service Pack 2 for Windows XP has been released to manufacturing, according to the company. The update - as much as a massive 80MB - has now been finalised and the 'gold code' is being pressed onto CDs and distributed to computer makers so they can preload it on their products.
