MyDoom authors seek antivirus employment

New versions of MyDoom have been spotted over the weekend, with a desperate plea from the authors for work in the antivirus industry. MyDoom Versions U and V were discovered on Friday, while W appeared a few days later. Charity warns over growing online abuse of children

Barnardo's has published a report today detailing the extent to which children are suffering abuse which is made available through the Internet and mobile phones. It is calling on the Government to set up a Centre of Excellence to find and help the victims of these crimes and provide levels of funding to enable international cooperation because, despite thousands of images of child abuse being posted online every day, very few victims have been identified. DoCoMo offers 3G Compact Flash card

NTT DoCoMo has announced it will offer a Compact Flash card that contains a 3G radio, giving access to the company's third-generation FOMA service to handheld and desktop computers. The card - P2402 - will enable videophone and other wireless data services offered on FOMA at speeds of up to 384Kbits/sec downstream and 64Kbits/sec upstream. Microsoft announces more redundancies

Microsoft is to lose 62 software testing jobs from its Windows Core Operating System Division according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The job cuts, said to be effective from last week are because Microsoft now feels able to replace manual testing with automated versions.
