W3C to give the Web more meaning

The body that controls Internet standards, the W3C, continues its push to add meaning to Web documents. As part of a wider Semantic Web project it has officially recommended the adoption of two new standards: Resource Description Framework (RDF) and the Ontology Web Language (OWL). EC charges towards powerline Internet access

To help develop the next generation of powerline technology - using national electricity grids to carry broadband access - the European Commission is spending €9.6 million.
