Two residents of Denham, a small village in Buckinghamshire, have decided to establish a wireless broadband network for villagers. UK virus writers sent to prison

Two 20-year-olds from the UK have been sentenced to prison terms for their part in a virus-writing gang. Jordan Bradley, 22, and Andrew Harvey, 23, were members of a group named the 'THr34t Krew' responsible for writing the TK worm which caused 'unquantifiable' damage to computers across the globe. EU bids to strengthen anti-spam procedures

The EU has announced a cooperative venture to cut through cross border red tape when tracking down spammers. Members of the contact network of spam enforcement authorities (CNSA) have drawn up a voluntary agreement that will mean they share data and follow up complaints from anywhere in the EU. Members agree to use 'best efforts' to handle complaints forwarded to them by other countries, which will make it easier to identify and track down spammers across the EU. ...more
