Drawing on the Web behaviour of 8,300 individuals, the results come from an 'at work' panel set up by Jupiter MMXI, the Internet research company. In a live demonstration at London's Internet World conference staff from security company ISS broke into a wireless network, established connections with a test system running off a Buffalo access port and gained remote control of a Windows-driven laptop using the NetBus Trojan. It recently opened CD burning stations at its coffee houses in five US cities and found that customers linger longer as a result. John Kiel Patterson claims that iPods are 'inherently defective in design and are not sufficiently adorned with adequate warnings regarding the likelihood of hearing loss'.
