Nvidia scales up Quadro graphics processing

Nvidia has announced a new range of workstation graphics cards that can be mounted multiple times in a single system to provide even greater graphics oomph. The company's patent-pending Scalable Link Interface (SLI) technology allows the power of two GeForce 6 series or the new Quadro boards to be coupled on a single motherboard to harness their graphics muscle. Computers uncover shreds of history

German scientists are turning to technology to reassemble documents destroyed by the East German secret police. They have developed a new computer-based technique for piecing together shredded paper documents. It is part of an effort to recover the contents of 16,250 sacks of files that were shredded by the Stasi, East Germany's secret police, as the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. ...more

PC Pro Labs UPDATE: SavRow SavRoyal Razor 1.8 availability

Due to a broken tool in the factory in Taiwan, shipment of Razor chassis to SavRow is being delayed by 14 days. SavRow is still taking orders for the Razor 1.8, which won the Designer Laptops Labs in the current December 2004 issue of PC Pro, but wants to advise customers that they will have to wait an extra two weeks for delivery. ...more
