Adobe buys in extra DRM

Adobe has announced the acquisition of new DRM technologies to increase the document security capabilities of its LiveCycle Policy Server. The FileLine Digital Rights Management division of Navisware has been bought for an undisclosed amount and its technologies will be deployed to persistantly protect documents in PDF, Microsoft Office and CAD formats, independent of how they are stored or delivered inside and outside the firewall. Secure CompactFlash agreed

The CompactFlash Association has approved the Secure CompactFlash proposal developed by the Secure CF Work Group at its general meeting in Hawaii. The Secure CompactFlash specification allows for 16 or more content protection methods to be used, with 4Cs Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM) being the first content protection system deemed suitable for Secure CF cards.
