One million euros awarded to Web inventor

Is Sir Tim Berners-Lee the greatest living Briton? The Finnish Technology Award Foundation certainly thinks so - it has awarded its Millennium Technology Prize and €1mn to the inventor of the World Wide Web. Apple announces $38 million profit

Apple has announced a $38 million profit for the last fiscal quarter, in sharp contrast to the $195 million loss for the same quarter 12 months ago. Stock options investigation claims Apple director

Fred Anderson has resigned from Apple's board of directors following the conclusion of the company's investigation of stock options granted between 1997 and 2002. Anderson was the company's chief financial officer during that period, having been appointed in 1996. He joined Apple's board on leaving the post in 2004. ...more
