As processors climb above and beyond the Gigahertz barrier, the fans needed to cool them make your PC sound more like a tractor than the sleek, powerful machine you paid for. Well, how about a processor coated with minute fans the size of a pinhead, or a number of these fans pushing coolant around the chip? Small businesses are the poor relation when it comes to information security, according to the latest DTI survey on breaches within UK PLC. Chris Potter, Information Security Assurance Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, which ran the survey, described it as 'a tale of two cities'. Mobile phone growth not so smart

According to new research, mobile phone leftovers from last year have resulted in sluggish shipment figures during the first three months of 2007, as manufacturers try to shift excess handsets. Around 252 million units were shipped in Q1, representing just 12 per cent growth year-on-year and marking the first time in almost two years that annual growth has dipped below 20 per cent, according to figures from Strategy Analytics' Q1 2007 Global Handset Market Share Update report.
