Japanese scientists in silicon manufacturing breakthrough

Japanese scientists have succeeded in developing a silicon carbide manufacturing process which, some observers have claimed, could revolutionise the electronics industry. Silicon carbide has several advantages over the silicon currently used in the manufacture of chips and circuits.
