BT broadband ad 'misleading'

BT has been told by the Advertising Standards Agency that and advertisement comparing its 512K broadband service with Telewest was misleading. The ad stated 'Same speed broadband is ?8 cheaper per month with BT than with Telewest'. However, what the ad failed to mention was that the BT service had a 1GB per month cap on it whilst the Telewest offering was unlimited. ...more

Muslim hackers blast Denmark in Net assault

Gangs of pro-Muslim computer hackers have unleashed a withering cyber attack on Danish and Western websites in the past week, escalating their defacement barrage to coincide with dozens of violent street-level demonstrations across the Arab world in protest at the publication of a cartoon depiction of the Prophet Mohammed. 'Every mobile phone user will own a laptop' claims Intel

An Intel spokesman has claimed that one day, 'virtually every mobile phone user will own a laptop', citing the 'insatiable' demand for the Internet as the reason. The striking claim was made by Sean Maloney, the chief sales and marketing officer for Intel, during a keynote speech at HP's Mobility Summit in Shanghai. Dell releases Ubuntu-based PCs

Dell has confirmed today that it is launching three computer systems, including one laptop, that will come with the open-source Ubuntu Linux operating system already installed.
