AOL eyes IE technology for new browser

AOL is reported to be developing a Web browser based on Microsoft Internet Explorer technology Unlike AOL's current browser, which is based on Mozilla code and built into its Internet software suite, the new browser will be available separately for anyone to download, eWeek reports. Dell opts for Ubuntu Linux distro

Dell has chosen Ubuntu as the Linux distribution that it will offer pre-installed on a range of its PCs. A month ago the company announced that it would extend its Linux offering in response to feedback to its IdeaStorm website and a subsequent survey. Apple pours Starbucks music into iTunes

Apple is to begin selling music from coffee purveyor Starbucks' Hear Music catalogue through the US version of the iTunes Store. The Starbucks Entertainment area within iTunes will feature a variety of playlists including music hand-picked by the same Starbucks Hear Music content team responsible for selecting the music played in the company's coffee shops. Content will include digital versions of many of Hear Music's CD series and co-releases such as the Marvin Gaye Opus Collection. ...more
