Nokia plans one-stop content shop for mobile networks

Preminet is Nokia's name for a new delivery system for mobile content, such as games and other applications. Gathering together in to one master catalogue a whole range of Java and Symbian OS software, it also provides a framework for delivering billing and distributing revenues. Text messaging breaks 900m barrier

New figures from the Mobile Data Association (MDA) indicate that quite a few of you must have got an SMS-compatible mobile phone for Christmas. According to the figures, British mobile phone users sent a startling 900m text messages during the month of January. Adobe begins enterprise LifeCycle

Adobe has announced a new suite of PDF and Web application technologies for enterprises. The LiveCycle Enterprise Suite is a J2EE-based server that combines Adobe Flex, the XML and scripting-based Web application development technology, with the capabilities PDF. According to Adobe, when Flash Player is added to the mix, LiveCycle ES enables 'a new class of "customer engagement" applications that easily connect people inside and outside organisations to internal information and processes'. ...more
