Google defends data policy after EU warning

Google is defending its storing of user's search data for up to two years for security and commercial reasons. It had been warned by Brussels that it could be violating European privacy laws by doing so. The keyfob-sized Kanguru Micro CF itself contains up to 128MB of instantly accessible flash memory. Having dealt with media players and servers, the EU will now turn its attention to two further areas in which Microsoft has been accused of acting unfairly. Competitors in both instant messaging and mobile phones markets have accused the company of using Windows XP to strengthen its position.
