EU enters talks with US over e-commerce

European officials met with US Government e-commerce experts and representatives from the private sector in Brussels on Tuesday to schedule a series of meetings to head off potential clashes of future e-commerce policies. The meeting was convened to avoid cases such as the EU-US safe harbour agreement for online customer data protection that took two years to push through because it was beset by disagreements and lack of momentum.
