Nvidia scales up Quadro graphics processing

Nvidia has announced a new range of workstation graphics cards that can be mounted multiple times in a single system to provide even greater graphics oomph. The company's patent-pending Scalable Link Interface (SLI) technology allows the power of two GeForce 6 series or the new Quadro boards to be coupled on a single motherboard to harness their graphics muscle. Internet portal Yahoo! has upgraded its popular Web-based mail service with, it claims, the most significant makeover of the service since it launched in 1997. According to Yahoo! the response times for the new version, which is currently in beta only, are equivalent to a desktop email program. Skype adds voicemail service to its IP telephony

Net telephony giant Skype has updated its eponymous application to include voicemail and other new features. For about ?10 a year, Skype users can leave voicemails up to 10 minutes long for any other Skype user, even if they are not subscribed to the voicemail service.
