With 91,950 units having been shipped to date, and figures for the quarter 20 per cent down sequentially, Canalys has reiterated its calls for Microsoft to step into the breach, subsidise the OS and establish a dedicated marketing team to drive it forward in Europe. The eight have been charged with conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement and copyright infringement. ...more States reject Microsoft delay appeal The nine US states that have rejected the proposed settlement of anti-trust proceedings against Microsoft have opposed the software company's request for more time to assemble its evidence. The states' call for much stronger penalties to be imposed on Microsoft, and their case is due to be heard in March.
