Cisco accused of iPhone source code violation

A GPL licensing expert has accused Cisco of violating an open source license by failing to publish source code developed for its WIP300 iPhone. The VoIP handset runs a version of Linux developed by Cisco-subsidiary Linksys from code publicly available under the GPL open source licence. Palm releases Outlook 2007 sync patch

Palm has released a software patch that enables all its handhelds to sync emails, calendars, contacts, tasks and notes with the new version of Outlook in Microsoft Office 2007. The patch updates the sync conduits on the PC, making no changes to the software on the handheld. Taipei aims to be world's first fully Wi-Fi city

Taipei is set to win the race to become the world's first fully Wi-Fi connected city. The wireless network planned by the city's government will provide 90 per cent coverage for its 3 million inhabitants and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2005.
