A group of companies producing flash memory cards has announced the creation of a new standard to enhance and increase the security capabilities of flash memory cards. The aim of the Mobile Commerce (MC) Extension Standard is to boost the commercial possibilities of mobile products in which flash memory cards are used. Money will be used to extend London-based WiMax wireless data network nationwide. Wireless broadband network operator Urban WiMax has announced plans for a fresh round of funding to raise ?35m to finance a national roll-out for its WiMax wireless broadband service.
