Low power Pentiums draw less than 1 Watt

Intel has released a series of low-power mobile processors for notebooks which feature Intel's power saving SpeedStep technology. The Ultra Low Voltage mobile PIII, which Intel claims is the world's lowest power PC processor, runs at 600Mhz at full stretch, but cuts down to 300Mhz in battery optimised mode, drawing around half a Watt in power and less than one Volt. HMV relaunches online music service

HMV has showcased its relaunched music download service, HMV Digital, which officially launches on Monday 5 September. Having dipped its toe in the water with its previous OD2-based offering, the company is now throwing its weight behind a MusicNet-based, Microsoft-oriented service.
