Canon fires off two professional bubble jets

Handspring has updated its Visor range of handheld computers with two new models: the Visor Pro and the Visor Neo. Aimed more at the professional user, the Pro (pictured) carries 16MB of memory - twice the storage capacity of Handspring's previous best models. 50nm memory chips enter production

Intel and Micron Technology have announced they are sampling the industry's first NAND flash memory built on 50nm process technology The samples are being manufactures by IM Flash Technologies, the companies' joint development and manufacturing venture, for deployment in 4Gbit devices, with plans to mass produce a range of capacities in 2007. Using 50nm process technology will enable to meet growing demand for higher density NAND flash in both computing and consumer electronics, including digital music players, removable storage and mobile phones. Telcos call for EU-wide review of regulations

Telecommunications operators have called upon the European Commission to implement an EU-wide review of the way it regulates the industry. AMD fanfares new Sempron chip range

AMD has announced that the replacement for its ageing Duron range is going to be named the Sempron. The company says that it will start shipping the new range, aimed at the budget-conscious user, in the second half of this year. The company says that for desktop and notebook computing, it sees the 64-bit Athlon processors filling the top of the range with the Athlon XP and Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 32-bit chips filling the mid range. ...more
