Microsoft launches Live Messenger

Microsoft has officially launched the Live Messenger service. Live Messenger, a new version of MSN Messenger under a new brand, is one of 20 or so 'Live' services that Microsoft intends to roll out over the coming year. ATi ramps up memory speed

Set Radeons at 800Mhz ATi says that users can expect big performance gains from its product range next year with new memory technologies. Specifications for the third generation of double data rate (DDR) DRAM for graphics, known as GDDR3 have been completed in collaboration with Infineon, Elpida and Hynix Semiconductor. Microsoft squashes self-destructing email rumour

At the official London launch of Office 2003 last night, Microsoft was questioned about Mission Impossible-style disappearing email, reports of which have been circulating in the media.
