Microsoft releases May's bulletins

Microsoft has released its security bulletins for May with critical patches for Windows and Exchange as well as a further Moderate rated patch for Windows. The Exchange patch covers Exchange Server 2000 with Post-SP3, up to Exchange Server 2003 with SP2. Christmas card virus top of the tree for December

Last month's Christmas card virus proved the most prevalent of the month according to UK antivirus experts Sophos. The electronic card only began infecting machines in the middle of the month, yet numbers of the Zafi-D virus hidden within it accounted for more than a third of reports. RIM suffers new legal setback

Research In Motion is steeling itself for an injunction that would prevent the company from marketing its best selling range of BlackBerry devices following a decision by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The Court has turned down a request by RIM for a stay on further proceedings until the US Supreme Court hears its long running patent infringement lawsuit with NTP.
