MySpace to filter for copyright infringements

MySpace has announced plans to begin filtering uploaded music to ensure that it does not infringe any copyrights. The social networking site will deploy Gracenote's MusicID 'audio fingerprinting' technology which scans uploaded files and compares them to a database of copyright music recordings. BBC to add subtitles to Internet telly

The BBC has announced that is to begin testing a system for adding optional subtitles to online broadcasts. A five week trial will run on Click Online, News 24's popular technology programme and will use new software that accesses the subtitling files from the original TV broadcast.
