Dell adds video power to consumer PCs

Dell's products take a multimedia twist in a deal with Roxio to bundle VideoWave Movie Creator software with its computers. Most OEMs already use Roxio CD-burning software with their products and it is included as part of Windows XP. The National Statistics Office has updated its records for Internet access within the UK. The job cuts continue

More hi-tech job losses have been announced, this time from the technology giants Ericsson and Nokia. Ericsson is shedding over 2,000 jobs in Sweden, the BBC has reported, and up to 1,200 jobs could go in the UK as the company closes two handset plants. The areas affected are Scunthorpe and Carlton, in Nottinghamshire, and the plants will be closed by September. ...more
